Module 11
Why I chose these videos:
The Mystical North: Spanish Art from the 19th Century to the Present:
- Typically when I chose these videos I pick videos whose title seems interesting or has a connection to me. In this case I chose this video because of the title.
Dada and Surrealism:
- I chose this video because I had some previous knowledge the concept of surrealism. I may not know much on the topic but I know Surrealism is known for its visual artwork.
Key Concepts:
The Mystical North: Spanish Art from the 19th Century to the Present:
- In this video they spoke on an artist by the name of Goya. One of the paintings by the name of nightmarish seemed to be a very dark painting. I say this because this creation was filled mainly with mainly dark/black paint.
Dada and Surrealism:
- I noticed plenty of colleges in this video. The artist Schwitters refers to his art as Merz. Like surrealism contains words as part of the form of art so did lots of Schwitters art. Through his art he was able to teach several meaningful lessons and insightful information.

Opinion on the films:
The Mystical North: Spanish Art from the 19th Century to the Present:
- I wish the video could have been more interesting. Although I didn't find the video the most interesting I did like the idea a narrator while showing the different kinds of art available.
Dada and Surrealism:
- This video was more interesting and I enjoyed it even more because it was able to fill in the gaps of miss information. I knew of the Dada and Surrealism concept briefly but this made me more aware and interested in the topic.
