A.) Which artworks make an impact or impression on me? Why?
  • 1. The artwork that mad the biggest impact on me was the first sculpture I seen upon arriving into the Burchfield Penney Art center which was the Southtown Woodcarvers. This painting stood out most because of how appealing to the eyes it is due to its vibrant colors and size.

2. Another piece of artwork that was appealing to me was called Rainy Days. This was fascinating to me because of how detailed the painting seemed to be, It felt as if the picture was taken with a camera based on how clear it was but it was actually created with watercolors.

  1. You picked nice pieces of artwork to put into your blog. I agree with you on the first artwork you posted. The Circus Pole artwork stood out to me also. Like you said the colors and the structure makes the artwork appealing to the eye. The next painting that caught my eye was Bleeding Hearts. This painting does allow you to feel some type of emotion towards it. The two paintings Road West and Untitled, looks similar to each other. I would also have to agree with you on wanting to know the thought behind creating these paintings.

  2. One thing I focused on, was the pieces that attracted you. Its interesting to see what you enjoy as art, because for everyone it is different. The paintings that were chosen are ones I wouldn't normally go for, which is why it was nice to see something different.
