1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.
The drawings of Michelangelo:
I chose the drawing of Michelangelo because the name Michelangelo because the name was familiar to me at first. I then became fascinated with some of the drawings he was famous for.

Albrecht Durer: Images of a Master:
I also chose this video because of the title. As I proceeded to watch the video I liked how there were a series of his art being shown with a narrator explaining them.

2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
The Drawings of Michelangelo:
In the video The Drawings of Michelangelo a few key concepts I learned was the importance of Michelangelo’s paintings. He was highly knowledgeable of the human body which may have been something he used to his advantage while creating some of his sculptures. Michelangelo had several drawings that weren’t finished. Through his drawings he had the ability to strike emotion, his drawings were extremely realistic.
Albrecht Durer: Images of a Master:
I learned as a teen Albrecht Durer was extremely talented, he made incredible portraits that only improved as he got older. Through his work you saw his growth. Durer was interested in more than just creating  portraits, he also took interest in landscapes.

3. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
The Drawings of Michelangelo:
Although both the book and video talk about a lot of the same, some things had more light shined than others. The book goes through great lengths to ensure the readers know Michelangelo changed the way we view art today. To me the book seemed to provide an explanation for the pictures shown in the video.

Albrecht Durer: Images of a Master:
In the book and the video it was explained that Albrecht Durer combined both art from Germany and Italy in order to help create his work of art.
4. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?
